Cally : Hi. Im sorry i haven’t really been chatting much lately. Its just that my life seems so boring living on my own. I dont go out much and dont really do anything newsworthy. These are homemade spikes. Criminals are wrapping them in black plastic and placing it on isolated roads, especially on freeways late at night. Virtually invisible at night. It causes so much damage to your tyres that you will be forced to stop. They then come and hijack you and take all your belongings.

Please try not to travel late at night. This is serious.

Hi  all wet & soggy again 2 day Iistened 2 your voice mail many times So here goes let's reiterate once more , I wasn't  more than a wet bundle when our Mum ran away from my biological sire.  Van Aswagen was a fireman as I remember mother taking me 2 the fire station also the brass poles they used 2 side down 4 speedy exits 2 fires , anyways this oak van must have resigned as ,we moved 2 a cottage on a farm in Heidelberg where he resumed as employed I think both u & Den were born there in a hospital eh

 

Cally : Do you really think that Den and i both had the same father?  Both Michael and Neville say that Dens father was a Dutch guy who was staying in SA for a while but who then went back to Holland to his wife and family

 

Neil : Mickey went 2 school there as I attended the school's concert where he play the triangle (musical instrument) & van went 2 work on a horse called Chummy, & I got tractor rides with an african ploughing  the fields.  Wasn't  2 long after ya'll s arrival that we moved back 2 Joeburg 2 a small flat in wasnae long & Mum started working again , She collected maintenance from Mike's and my father at this point I don't  think van worked at this point as he had a lot of fiddle time on his hands eh. I've already explained how Mickey & meself where flown 2 Durban on holiday .I was 5 yrs old when I first met me dad.   Methinks Van's (Roy) parents were helping Mum out looking after you girls.

 

Anyway once we were back Old Mum ducked from van as well as he smashed the glass on the front door, blood& glass everywhere 🚂escape to Margate right 1of Mums sisters was living there er husband was a building contractor so they lived in a nice house I met our cousin Buelah? She had downs syndrome & van tracked mum 2 their ous.

 

That was the last time I ever saw van eh .Mum got a good job @ libenburgs hardware & a cost cottage 2 go not far behind the store  , but it was from that house that I first started school in margate . Easter the same.year that I was driven away from Mum & y'all  eh & dumped in a house with 4 adult strangers ,in the beginning they were very accommodating,  but that ashole father of mine kept wanting 2 know what the matter was, Idiot didn't  understand that I'd  already taken a heap of physical abuse from an adult, that I wanted me mums hey .then if I didn't  behave he'd  threaten me with telling me gran ( his mother) .Meanwhile his wifey was still sweet on me. Any way the sh1t hit the fan after Tookie his wife's birth channel went into action ,She couldn't  stop screaming at me from the moments she arrived home with her little bundle of joy . Ya there was me head full o little fairies eh "don't  just stand there do this do that , are u stupid? No wonder your mother gave u away ,on&on it went nobody loves u because you're  stupid etc - use 2 cry meself.2 sleep Then Mum met 's  Dad and she came 2 Durban with a friend 4 the Dec hols  2 collect me 4 Dec.   

 

The hardest part was going back into that abusive enviroment , went on 4 eight yrs , until they caught me trying 2 stick a sharp point in my neck besides developing a murmur  in the heart .

So I'd  say the team did a pretty thorough job of fucking my formative yrs up.eh.

 

Ya so where was I when you were on the beach with the sardines & fisher men . Well at this point I exploded into adolescence.  Cyril +- a whole 7 yrs older than me made an arrival of his own & listen my grades were sharp up and till jc.  I think Mum was too distracted setting her big boy up eh - getting him work with Robert Mitchell.   The Riches. me & Douglas were best mates So I never got extra math like Mike,  no scouts or clubs or ballet . But it was a decision I'd  made, a. pity she wasn't  a bit more attentive with my schooling

 

Or that she didnae get me 2 a psychologist she could have stuck my father with the bill  - then @ least we could have moved on without me medicating meself but Cyril was er cream cheese. Then he build 4 the Grahams next door Wow I'm  all 4 unconditional love - we mentioned the banana factory already - That guy could do no wrong absolute genius our boy CRA.

 

Her only winge was that he was not reliable .ha Mean while Judy developed a crush on me & told Mum,  & Dougie invited me 4 a sleep over (here I'm  not being nasty eh ,but the girls breath smelt like a bait.box)- halitosis is almost 2 polite.  I was any rude 2 her didnae tease her. 

 

Rosemary was my first true luv . But krikey we were so young me 14 & she 12 God knows what the hurry was met her in Cape town years later repping 4 a medical company .She was a fully fledged N .Sister b 4 she went 4 the money yep she was also engaged , did nae stop us tho .

Well thats my take on life as well. I only exercise if its fun - like for bike rides and having a picnic with the kids, swimming in the sea and trying to body surf and getting dumped, hiking up a hill to see the view. Not just sweat and slog for the sake of it. Life is meant to be enjoyed. So eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die

Cally : There is a mixture of cobs, welsh cob, ex racehorse and ex polo horse. Irish draw horse etc etc about ten different horses

I had my first jab in january and going for my 2nd on friday. All the staff at work are having their 2nd this week so suppose all the health care workers will then be done.

 

Neil : Me dad's mum was born  in 1907 ,yrs ago she wrote & told me that she immigrated 2 SA  aged 12 with her parents & brother who was killed in w.war 2 . When I confided with her daughter after she'd  passed "Cynthia"who has now passed herself disagreed insisting that the mother was born here.

 

CaLLY: Its a pity you cant find any uk ancestors although i really don’t think you would like it here. The sea is freezing even in summer and its not the same. But would be nice if you lived close by.
